Linda Murrell (Davis) Taylor

Linda Murrell (Davis) Taylor, age 81 of Whitney passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm, Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 29, 2024, at Blanton Cemetery in Blanton with Pastor Don De Foor officiating. 

Linda was born March 15, 1943, in Cleburne, Texas to Fred Monroe and Gertrude M. (Revis) Davis. She was raised and attended school in Joshua, Texas. Linda was united in Marriage to Dalton Roy Taylor on October 31, 1959, in Cleburne and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2005. She enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, tending to her flowers and just being outdoors watching the birds. Her downtime she enjoyed relaxing and reading a good romance novel. Linda also loved spending time and doing things with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dalton Roy Taylor, and six siblings.

Linda is survived by her children, Simmeon Monroe Taylor, Junea Dee Wisian, and Eddie Lynn Johnson and husband Tommy Dale; brother, Wayne Davis; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
