Mary Jo (Farmer) Holley

Mary Jo Holley, age 81, of Whitney, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in Hutchins, Texas. Graveside Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Whitney Memorial Park Cemetery in Whitney, Texas.

Mary Jo is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas U. and Geraldine (Bishop) Farmer; and sister, Tommie Dean Sibley and her husband Billy Holley. She was employed at Bonanza Supermarket in Whitney, Texas for over 30 years. Mary Jo stocked the shelves, cut and wrapped meat, and ran the cash register; basically all the responsibilities of an assistant manager without the title. Mary Jo loved greeting people at Bonanza Supermarket as well. She also worked at Relics for the Eubanks before retirement. Mary Jo loved to sew and made clothes for numerous family members and friends, she also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and time with her family.

Left to cherish Mary Jo’s memory is her daughter, Norma McKnight; siblings, Don Farmer and Carol Ann Farmer; granddaughter, Abby McKnight; and numerous nephews and nieces.
