Ricardo Franco Villa

Ricardo Franco Villa, 42, of Milford, Texas, passed away March 20, 2024, at his home in Milford. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, with a burial to follow at the Milford Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, March 25, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall in Hillsboro.

Ricky was born in Fairfield, Texas, on January 20, 1982, to Ricardo and Suzanna (Hernandez) Villa.

As a young child, Ricky was smart, happy and enjoyed having his cousins and friends over to play. He later, in his teens, began to lift weights and play football. He also liked to skateboard from time to time.

When he was nineteen years old, Ricky was diagnosed with schizophrenia. It was hard on him at first, but with medication, he was able to continue with his way of life.

Ricky loved his family and was very good at keeping up with everyone on Facebook and on the family property; so much so that we called him our newspaper! He would ride his mower from one house to another on the property, checking up on his family and seeing how he could help.

He loved the Lord and wanted to go to church “to get his praise on!” That is what he would say.

Ricky was diagnosed with congestive heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure about six months ago. His way of life began to get harder for him and he was having battles in his mind. He won the battle as God’s word says, “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

Everyone loved Ricky very much and he will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Villa; and his brother, Adam Villa, Ricky is survived by his mother, Suzanna Villa; and siblings, Angelett, Ernest and Christopher Villa.
