Billy Dorris

Billy Dorris, 76, of Whitney, passed away on September 14, 2019 at his residence.   A graveside service will be held  at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with President Killebrew officiating.    A visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney. 

Billy was born on October 31, 1942, in Waco, Texas, to Carl and Myrtel (Halpain) Dorris and was raised by Lee Roy Queen.  He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service.   He loved music, coin collecting, but most of all his family.   

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Patricia (Richards) Dorris; children, Calvin Lee Dorris, Deborah and Buddy Hickman, Brenda and Tim Pope, and William and Victoria Grass; grandchildren, Amanda Fultz, Ronald Fultz,  Jarrod and Nathan Hickman, Jennifer (Grass) Westerlund, Sara (Grass) Golob and Jeffrey Grass; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister Sandra Coe of Dallas.
