Bonnie Jean (Murray) Brown

Bonnie Jean Brown, 90, of Whitney, passed away on October 29, 2019 in Burleson.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2019, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with Pastor Larry Blackman of Fort Graham Baptist Church, Whitney,  officiating.  Burial will follow at Whitney Memorial Park.  A visitation will be held from Noon until l p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. 

Bonnie was born on April 24, 1929 in Mansfield, Texas to Bethel and Tressie (Ivy) Murray.  On August 30, 1954, she married Winford Joe Brown in Tarrant County.    Bonnie loved to go to the lake and to go camping.  She worked at the Hospital Clinic in Mansfield as well as the Alpine Gun Range for many years.   In her spare time, she loved going to garage sales.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and by a son, James “Booger” Brown, Sr.

Survivors include her son, Carl Brown; grandchildren, James Brown and Becky Valeri; great-granddaughter Maddison Brown; as well as several nieces and nephews.
