Rosa Flores, 75, of Hillsboro passed away Friday, August 2, 2019, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2019, at Risen Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Pete Zarate officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Monday prior to service time at the church.
Rosa Flores was born April 3, 1944, to Manuel DeLeon Zurita and Petra Puente Alcocer in Escobedo, Coahulia Mexico. She was one of 14 children, to a large loving family. In 1965, Rosa was happily married to Jose Jesus Flores, who was her partner in life for almost 54 years at the time of her death. In this union they had 6 children of their own. She was a faithful and dedicated member of church until her health failed her, but she never lost her faith. Rosa was a God fearing woman, enjoyed going to church, tending to her plants, and cooking for her family.
Preceding her in death were her father, Manuel; mother, Petra; siblings, Juanita, Acencion, Cipriano, Valentina, Margarita, Consuelo, Gloria, and Manuel DeLeon Puente; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Valdez.
Rosa leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Jose Flores, Sr.; daughter, Lorena ,and husband Ricardo; sons, Jesse, and wife, Norma, Willie, and wife, Lisa, Joseph, and wife, Lupe, Salvador, and wife, Lisa, Jose, Jr. and wife, Beverly, and Rick, and wife, Michelle; siblings, Jesus, Efren, Fidel, Silvia, and Maria Guadalupe Deleon Puente; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
