Alice Roden

Alice M. (Stoverink) Roden, 75, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday morning, August 31, 2017, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Hillcrest in Waco. Memorial services will be held at a later date in St. Louis, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Alice was born June 12, 1942 in St. Louis, MO to Elmer and Edna (Zapf) Stoverink. She was raised in St. Louis and was a 1960 graduate of Mercy High School. She worked as a nurse’s aide. In 1963, Alice was united in marriage to Dennis Roden, Sr.

Mom, we will miss you and love you always.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; son, Dennis Roden, Jr.; and grandson, Johnathon. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kyle Brents (Patrick); and two sons, Mark Roden (Kathy) and Shawn Roden. She was a dear grandmother to Gregory, Virginia, Adam, Jaime, Patrick II, and Tristian; and great-grandmother to McKenzie. She was also our dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, and cousin.
