Glenn was born in Brownwood, Texas on October 19, 1926, to Earl and Viola (Dribread) Lyon. He was a veteran of World War II, 1944 – 1946 and was a retired chemical engineer.
Glenn was a devoted husband of 69 years to his beloved Virginia who passed away last year and was a loving father and grandfather.
He enjoyed singing, reading, fishing, woodworking and crossword puzzles.
A quiet, honorable man who was well respected by everyone. A man of few words, but a wise counsel with an infectious smile and a gentle spirit who always had warm hugs and inspiration to give to all.
He was a faithful servant of the Lord, prayerful and thankful for daily blessings, he always marveled at God’s handiwork. A member of Sojourner Ministry for 16 years, he was a member of the Whitney Church of Christ, serving as elder from 2007 – 2016.
Although small in stature – he was a giant in the eyes of God. He had a life well lived for 93 years.
His family of 2 daughters, 6 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren are left to cherish his memory
