Angela Perez

Angela Perez (cookie) of Hillsboro, Texas went home for Christmas to be with our lord Jesus Christ along with all our love and loved ones on December 22,2025 at home at the age of 60. A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Monday, December 29, 2025, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Angela was born November 22,1965 in Whitney, Texas to Elden and Fay Ward.

Angela had a passion of caring and loving her family and friends. Angela was known for always being there for others and having the biggest heart. She loved watching her Dallas cowboys with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter Mandy.

Angela attended Hillsboro high school where she met her sister-in-law Linda Rodriguez of Hillsboro and present husband Alex Perez of Hillsboro. In 1990 she had her beloved daughter Mandy Cox of Hillsboro with her late husband Eugene Cox of Hillsboro whom she was married to for twelve loving years. On July 4, 2007, she married the love of her life Alex Perez.

Angela was preceded in death by her father Elden Ward, mother Fay Ward, late husband Eugene Cox, and father-in-law Alex Perez all of Hillsboro. She is survived by her husband Alex Perez of Hillsboro, daughter Mandy Cox of Hillsboro, mother-in-law Pat Perez of Hillsboro. One sister Pam Smith of Whitney. Nephews Wendell and wife Rene Outlaw of Hillsboro and Justin Lara of Hillsboro. Nieces Nancy and husband George Sotelo of Hillsboro and Amber and husband Jose Mancinas of Hillsboro. Four great nephews, Jakobe, Dashone, Dominic, and Joe are all from Hillsboro. Great niece Nakira of Hillsboro and great-great niece Aaliyah of Temple. Three uncles Henry Crow, Bennie Buchanan, and Billy Buchanan. Her honorary sisters Jules and Alicia with many cousins and friends.
