Anna Elizabeth Raulston

Anna Mishler Raulston, age 85, of the Blanton community, formerly of Whitney, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at her home.

She was born to Arthur and Cora (Gamble) Mishler in Weatherford, Texas, and they moved to Gatesville, Texas, and then to Whitney, Texas, at the age of eight. They owned and operated Mishler's Corner one mile off of 22 from  Lake Whitney Dam. Anna attended Whitney School and Prairie Valley Baptist Church, and she met Bud Raulston on a blind date, and they married July 26, 1958. She was affectionately known as Mom, Nanie, and Ann and was a homemaker for many, many years.

Anna began her first job at Aileen's in the outlet mall in Hillsboro, and also at Starter. She later began working in Cleburne at JCPenney for many, many years, and she was the last to walk out when the store closed in 2020. She made her home in Blanton, Texas, outside of Blum, and raised 3 children, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, Peyton Raulston, who is due anytime now.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Arthur Mishler and Cora (Gamble); husband M.L. Bud Raulston; sons-in-law, Ricky Burgess, David Miller and Greg Ball; two sisters, Charlene and husband Jim Ricketts and Geraldine and husband Roy Roach.

Anna is survived by 3 children: Melvin Levon Jr. and wife Karen, Paula Burgess, and Ruth Ball Miller; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, special family Carol Raines and Pockets; sister-in-law Barbara Raulston and Vicky Kemp; brother, Sam Mishler and wife Christy. Add numerous nieces and nephews and friends, that hold a special place in her heart.

She was a lifetime member and original partner in the Trinity Church that later became Church on the Hill in Hillsboro, Texas.

Visitation will be Monday, July 20 from 6-8 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, 201 N. Bosque in Whitney. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 21 beginning at 1 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will immediate follow at Blanton Cemetery, FM 934 and HCR 1444 in Blum.
