Antonio Arellano

Antonio Arellano, Sr. passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in Itasca, Texas. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, with burial to follow at Itasca Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, August 17, 2026, at Marshall and Marshall, Hillsboro.

He was born on December 31, 1946, in Smithville, Texas to Albert Arellano, Sr. and Mercedes Arellano. Antonio married Esperanza on September 25, 1965, and they spent forty-four wonderful years before her passing in 2009.

For many years, Antonio worked for Harris Electric, United McGill, and the Itasca Landfill. He enjoyed being busy in his free time with many activities, including cleaning and detailing cars, mowing yards on the weekend, listening to music, and enjoying his favorite strawberry ice cream. He also loved spending time with his family and being entertained by his grandkids and great grandkids.

Antonio is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Arellano, Sr. and Mercedes Arellano; his wife, Esperanza Arellano; his brothers, Jimmy Arellano, Raymond Arellano, Sr., and Frank Arellano, Sr.; and his sister, Mercy Arellano.

He is survived by his brothers, Albert Arellano, Jr. and Freddy Arellano; his sister, Sally Arellano Choate; his sons, Tony Arellano and wife, Stephanie, Tobe Arellano and wife, Paula, and Jimmy Arellano and wife, Shauna. Antonio was a proud and loving grandfather to Antonio Arellano III, Nick Areallno and wife, Cherdonia, Chris Arellano, Erica Arellano and husband, Jesse, Johnny Preston Arellano, Nigel Russel and wife, Falyn, Krystal Russell, Brittany Garcia and husband, Omar, Eric Ortegon and wife, Courtney, Macy Johnson and husband, James, Rebecca Arellano, Taylor Arellano, Jimmy Arellano, Jr., Neo Arellano, and Xavier Arellano. He was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren who brought great joy to his life and will carry his memory forward for generations to come.

Antonio leaves behind a loving family and many cherished memories that will continue to live on through all those who knew and loved him.
