Barbara Ann (Hall) Morris, 90, originally of Parker, Texas, began her heavenly journey on May 16, 2026.
Barbara was born on March 25, 1936, in Parker, Texas, to Nannie and Fred Hall. She later lived in Dallas, Cleburne, Whitney, Joshua, and finally in Fort Worth. She was united in marriage with Donnie Morris on November 14, 1953. Together, they shared decades of love and commitment until he preceded her in death on June 20, 2009. Their partnership was a testament to enduring devotion and mutual respect. She loved her family, her kids, her grandkids, her great grandkids, nieces & nephews, her beloved friends & her cat Patches. She also loved traveling with her husband, Donnie, and they spent many years in their RV roaming the US. Wherever their travels took them, you could usually find them around a campfire singing old gospel and country songs at the end of the day. Barbara has been described as beautiful inside and out, caring, friendly, sweet, and kind. Those who had the pleasure would tell you she made the best fried chicken.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nannie & Fred; her husband of 55 years, Donnie Morris; her grandson, Josh Morris; and all her siblings.
Barbara is survived by her three children, Donna Clay and husband Joseph, Randy Morris and wife Holly, and Ricky Morris and wife Mollie; grandchildren Heather Babcock, Christopher Morris, and April Long; great-grandchildren Tyler Long, Maryan Babcock, and Gabriella Babcock; a number of nieces and nephews.
Barbara Ann Morris will be remembered with great respect and admiration by all who knew her, marking the end of a life well-lived and deeply rooted in love and faith. Her legacy will continue in the hearts of those she touched throughout her journey.
Her funeral service will be held on May 26, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors located at 201 N Bosque St, Whitney, Texas. Following the service, a burial will take place at Bethlehem Cemetery on Hill County Road 1245 in Whitney, starting at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fort Graham Baptist Church rebuild fund (please send directly to the church at 137 FM 2604, Whitney, TX 76692, attn: Margie Thomas), St Jude's Children's Hospital, or Texas Coalition of Animal Protection (TCAP).
