Bessie Lucille (Rogers) Burch

Bessie Lucille Rogers Burch went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. She was born on December 31, 1942, to Richard Raymond Rogers and Bessie (Whipkey) Rogers in Brackettville, Texas. Lucille met the love of her life early. She married Gerald Frank Burch on September 4, 1959. Together, they raised four children, LaDonna, Gerald Jr. (Jerry), Melissa Diane (Missy), and William Raymond (Billy).

Lucille was a people person. She loved to meet and visit with strangers, and she adored spending time with her large extended family. Lucille was always the life of any party. Time spent with her was always a joy because she truly loved people. Lucille and Gerald were married for almost 61 years and those years were a joy to Lucille. Their marriage provided the family with a glorious example of love and devotion for which we continue to be grateful. She worked as an Entrepreneur in Sales.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Bessie Rogers and her brother, Paul Ray Rogers. She lost her beloved husband, Gerald, in 2020.

Lucille is survived by her children, LaDonna Burch of Whitney, Texas, Gerald (Jerry) Burch, wife Jana of Brandon, Texas, Melissa (Missy) Ratliff, husband Gary of Whitney, Texas, and William (Billy) Burch, wife Steffanie of Jacksonville, Florida;  grandchildren, Ladonna's children: Rob Slaughter of Lubbock, Texas, Kelsey Rickard (husband: Joe) of Red Oak, Texas; children, Aujah and Cameron; Gerald's (Jerry) children: John Burch (wife: Beth, children: Johnathan, Liam, Finley) of McKinney, Tx, Jordan Burch (wife: Anna) of Louisa, Virginia, Jillian Burch (children: Elizabeth) of Houston, Texas, Jacob Burch of Brandon, Texas;  Melissa's (Missy) children: Crystal Polerstock (husband: David, children: Luke and Audrey) of Houston, TX, Megan Ratliff (children: Piper); William's (Billy) children: Ashley Burch of Austin, Texas; Matthew Burch of Jacksonville, Florida.
