Beverly Fehnel

Beverly Putnam Fehnel, 89, of Itasca, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, in Grandview. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro. A private graveside service will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025. A memorial service with take place on June 5, 2025, at Central Baptist Church, Itasca, at 11:00 AM.

She was born July 7, 1935, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Alfred and Edith (James) Putnam. Beverly graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1957, then went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Home Economics from Oklahoma A&M College (now Oklahoma State University) in 1957.

Beverly married Harold Kermit Fehnel on June 27, 1957. They were married for forty-nine years.

She taught elementary school in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas, finishing her career at Itasca ISD, where she taught for a whole generation. She loved and taught the children of parents she had loved and taught. Beverly was a teacher at Itasca Elementary School for thirty-four years.

Beverly served for many years as the nursery keeper at Central Baptist Church in Itasca. She was very loyal to the church and was a member of several clubs and enjoyed the ladies quilting club. Her life's priorities were Christianity, her family, and her "kids," (which meant the entire community is her eyes). In that order. She had a life that was well loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Edith Putnam; her husband, Harold Fehnel; two brothers and two sisters. Beverly is survived by her children, Timothy and wife, Jodi Fehnel, Mark and wife, Christie Fehnel, Matthew and wife, Michelle Fehnel, and Mary Ann and husband, Kyle Hoge; her grandchildren, Tabitha and Savannah Fehnel, Markeisha Marshall, Ashley Spain, Megan Spain, Brandi Fehnel, Casey Carranza, and Hali Carranza; and great-grandchildren, Jasmyn Rodriguez, Aleigha Rodriguez, Brooklynn Rodriguez, Jaelyn Marshall, Jordyn Spain, Jase Laird, and Kinsley Grace Fehnel.
