Beverly Orr

Beverly Orr, age 89, went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2026, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. A graveside service will take place at 12:30 PM, Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory Cemetery, 3838 State Highway 22, Hillsboro, Texas. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 PM, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro.

She was born on September 1, 1936, to Hubert and Clara Mae Bowden. Beverly attended Corsicana High School. After graduating from High School, she attended Navarro College in Corsicana. It was there she met her future husband, Ronald Orr. They were married on August 10, 1956, in Corsicana.

Beverly was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Texas. In her earlier years, she taught children's Sunday school and Vacation Bile School. She was also very active in the First Baptist Church Van Ministry. This van would run every Sunday morning and pick up children who had no way to get to church.

Beverly was a loving wife, mother and friend. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a shining example of that to all who knew her.

Survivors include two children, Ronda Hester and husband, Danny, and James Orr and wife, Kim; three grandchildren, Daniel Orr and wife, Megan, J.T. Orr and wife, Kyndal, and Joshua Orr and wife, Ashley; and three great grandchildren, Ann Orr, Joe Orr and Kaylie Orr and her special pet, Ellie. Beverly also had numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
