Beverly Ann Watson, a loved and cherished mother, devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Temple, Texas, on September 6, 2025, at the age of 84. A long-time resident of Whitney, Texas. Beverly was known for her love of her two dogs, Max and Cooper. Her kind heart, deep love of family, and her unwavering strength through life's challenges.
Born in Alston, Massachusetts, on December 3, 1940, to Hilda Jewer and Fred Morang. She was the second oldest of their four daughters. Beverly graduated from Medway Junior Senior High School in 1959 in Medway, Massachusetts. She settled in Whitney, Texas, in the early 2000's where she took care of her mother and spent time with her sister, Kathy Jean, and her nephews and their families. In 2018, she moved to Temple, Texas, to be closer to her Daughter and grandchildren.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Debra Watson and her son, Arthur Watson; granddaughter, Tracy Lopez and spouse Jose Lopez Santiago, their children Katelyn and Spouse Carlos, Damian and spouse CC, their children Onyx and Everest, Kirstane, Bethanie, and Kristian; grandsons Shawn Watson and his son Patrick, James and his daughter Isabella, Matthew and spouse Skye and their son Grayson, Jacob and spouse Darrell, Corey and spouse and their children and Eric ans spouse and their children; and extended family. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cathleen Redding, along with other loved ones who welcomed her into eternal rest.
A visitation with family and friends will be held on September 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service starting at 2:00 PM. Both events will take place at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors, located at 201 N Bosque St, Whitney, TX 76692. This gathering will provide an opportunity for those whose lives she touched to come together to celebrate her memory and share cherished stories.
Beverly Ann Watson's legacy of love and compassion will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind. As we remember her contributions to our lives, let us also honor her spirit by carrying her gentle, caring nature forward in our own lives.
