Billy Glenn Crawford (Bill)

Billy (Bill) Glenn Crawford passed away peacefully in his sleep July 29, 2023, in Temple, Texas, at the age of 82. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, August 4, 2023, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory with Mr. Bruce Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am prior to the service.

Bill was born in Whitney, Texas on July 10,1941. He was a lifelong Whitney resident. After graduating from Whitney High School, Bill served in the U.S. Navy, and he was a Vietnam war veteran.

After his military service, Bill returned to Whitney where he lived the rest of his life. Bill was a loving husband and was known for his kindness and generosity. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, and he had a love for fishing. He was well known for his knowledge of Lake Whitney and his big bass fishing.

Bill is survived by his wife, Rose; his sister, Beverly; stepsons, Chris Johnson, Mike Re, and Sal Re; grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, Emily Johnson, Reagan Johnson, Bailey Re, Brittany Re, Taryn Re, and Salvador Re; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
