Billy Padgett

Billy Joe Padgett passed away at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Whitney on June 6, 2005. He was born in Hillsboro, Texas to Briggs Pierce and Emmie Hare Padgett. He was a farmer and rancher and served in the United States Air Force. Billy Joe was a member of the VFW; Disabled American Vets and the Sheriff's Association. Survivors include his children, Charles Padgett and wife, Gina of Hillsboro, Elaine Toten and husband, Pete of Valley Mills, Annette Stansberry and husband, Jamie of Fort Worth, Brian Padgett and wife, Nancy of Whitney; sisters, Lois Ward of Everman, Sammie Lou Hoyle of Orange; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
