Billy Plunkett

Billy Calvin Plunkett, 60, of Whitney, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Park Plaza Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4, at Marshall and Marshall Chapel with Chaplain Marvin Mott of Odyssey Hospice officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 3, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Billy was born on January 12, 1952, in Marlin, Texas, to the late J.C. and Josephine Clarice (Mullenax) Plunkett. He enjoyed fishing and taking care of his animals. He was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister Loraine Sparks.

He is survived by one brother, W.L. Plunkett; sisters, Frances Adams, Mary Worley, Nettie Brown and Linda Chambers; several nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends.
