Brandon Charles McKamie

Brandon Charles McKamie, “Buttermilk,” passed away surrounded by the love of his family on August 7, 2026. He was born on September 29, 1983, in Galveston, Texas, to Billy and Lynda McKamie. Brandon graduated from Meridian High School in 2002 and devoted much of his life to his career as a heavy machine operator.

On February 23, 2015, Brandon married Tiffany. Together, they welcomed two children, Braxton and Peyton, who were the absolute pride and joy of his life. Brandon cherished his children deeply, and being their father was one of the greatest joys of his life.

Brandon was preceded in death by his sister, Kalyn McKamie; his grandmother, Patsy Bonds; and his grandfather, Carol McKamie.

He leaves behind his beloved son, Braxton McKamie, and cherished daughter, Peyton McKamie ,and his wife Tiffany McKamie.He is also survived by his father, Billy McKamie, and wife, Peggy, of Buckholts, Texas; his mother, Lynda Zint, and husband, Richard, of Whitney; his brothers, Wesley McKamie and Billy McKamie of Whitney, and Michael Earl of Hillsboro; his sisters, Kara McKamie and Tara McKamie, both of Whitney, and Amber Dillon and husband, Bobby, and Kimberly McKamie of Odessa; and his stepsister, Heather Zint of Whitney.

He is also survived by his grandmother, Maureen Nicholas of Meridian; his grandfather, Wendell Barnard of Electra; and his grandfather, Dale Bonds of Laguna Park, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

Brandon will be remembered not only for the life he lived and the work he dedicated himself to, but most importantly for the love he had for his children and family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life service for Brandon will be held August 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at The Meridian Civic Center in Meridian, Texas.
