Carol Potter

Carol Jean Potter passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, in Lufkin, Texas at the age of 72.

She was born in Hillsboro, Texas, to Ima Jean and Clifford Wilkinson. Carol graduated from Hillsboro High school and obtained her LVN at Hill College. Carol dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a nurse throughout her entire career in both hospital and nursing home settings where she taught CNA classes. Her compassion and strength touched the lives of countless patients and families over the years.

Carol married Charles Potter on October 23, 1982, in Hillsboro. Together they had three children, Kevin, Sarah, and Rachel.

Outside of her profession, Carol found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid gardener who loved nurturing both her plants and her family with the same steady, loving hands. She loved canning, crocheting, and JTV.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Potter and her parents, Ima Jean and Clifford Wilkinson.

Carol is survived by her children, son Kevin Wilkinson of Waco Texas, daughter Rachel Raymond and husband Nick, daughter Sarah Myers and husband James of East Texas; grandchildren, Zoey Beth, Cooper James and Emri Jewel; sister, Nancy Wilkinson of Whitney, Texas; and brother, Robert Wilkinson of Hillsboro.
