Carolyn Lucille Holt

Carolyn "Mimi" Lucille Holt passed away at age 75 on June 16, 2026, 9:15am at Hill Regional Hospital. A gathering for family and friends will be held at Salt and Light Church at 399 IH 35, Abbott Texas 76621, Saturday June 20 at 10:30am.

She was born to Charlie and Virgie Motes on April 12, 1951, in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.

Mimi cherished her time with her family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always had an open and inviting home where family and friends were welcomed with warmth, kindness, and love.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Virgie Motes, her son Michael Dean Wims, her brothers, James, Allen and Donald Ray, and sister Shelby Motes. Carolyn is lovingly remembered by her surviving family; husband of 33 years Carlos Mack Holt; Sisters, Faye Paige, and Melinda Johnson; brothers, Leon Motes, and Eugene McCallie; her sons Mark and TeJay Wims; her stepdaughters, Michelle Hunn, Dawn Carpenter, Vickie Marie Kolowsky, and Charlotte Musgrave. Her grandchildren are Kieth Kayser, Emerald Snodgrass, Krystlynne, Kaitlyn, Shane, Miranda, and Skyler Wims, Christopher, Justin, Kyle, and Patrick Hunn, Thomas and Hannah Carpenter, and Zachary and Emily Musgrave. She is also survived by. several great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She will be remembered for her soft, kind heart and loving nature. Carolyn will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
