Carolyn Pyle

Carolyn Pyle, a woman of remarkable strength, selflessness, and quiet determination, passed away on September 26, 2025, after a long and courageous fight with cancer. A battle she had once already won and faced again with the same fierce grace and bravery that defined her.

Born on January 19th, 1947, in Lubbock, Texas. She will be greeted by her late husband, Gene Pyle, and siblings Wayne, Buddy, and Barba. Her children, Wendell Saunders, Angie Valdes, and her stepchildren keep her memory alive, including her siblings Linda Wolf and Jack. Also, her loving grandchildren, Cheyenne Saunders, Jake Saunders, Alexandria Valdes, and Aidan Valdes.

Carolyn Pyle was a force of nature. She worked tirelessly on her family's farm, putting her heart into everything she did. Her strength wasn't loud or boastful, but steady and unshakable. In rare moments, she would find joy and peace sailing on the lake, just like everything else she loved. She shared it generously with others. Family was everything to Carolyn. She gave all she had: her time, her strength, and her love without ever expecting anything in return. Whether it was a warm meal, a helping hand, or simply being present when she was needed, Carolyn showed her love in actions, not just words.

She was brave. She was hardworking. She was giving. And she never gave up.

Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of resilience and love. Her spirit lives on the land she worked, the waters she sailed, and the hearts of all who were lucky enough to be loved by her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Rest easy, Carolyn, for you are now with Gene, sailing away in the sunset. You've more than earned your peace.
