Charles Ray “Chuck” Cunningham, 68, of Hillsboro passed away Friday, July 28, 2017, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Gerald Cemetery near Leroy with Rev. Todd Ewing, assistant pastor at First Baptist Church in West, officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
  
  
  Born October 9, 1948 in Hillsboro, he was the son of Charles William and Bonnie Rae (Conditt) Cunningham. In 1966, he graduated from Hillsboro High School, where he excelled in football, and went on to graduate from Hill Junior College. For over 20 years, he was employed with the Texas Highway Department. Chuck was an avid sports fan and loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
  
  
  Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Vickie Ewing Cunningham; and sister, Sue Hutton.
  
  
  Survivors include his daughter, Valerie Wylie and husband, Bud, of Hubbard; sister, Elaine Collins; and two granddaughters, Bonnie Wylie and Ellie Wylie.
