David Russell Robertson, Jr.

David Russell Robertson, Jr., age 98 of Burleson, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Blum Cemetery in Blum, Texas with Dr. Mike Milburn officiating. A visitation will be held prior from noon to 1:00 pm at Marshall and Marshall funeral directors in Whitney for Immediate family only.

David Russell Robertson, Jr. was born on March 6, 1923, in Fort Worth, Texas to David Russell, Sr. and Pauline Victoria (Smith) Robertson. He grew up in Dallas and graduated from Woodrow Wilson high school in 1941. After high school he worked at a bicycle repair shop before enlisting in the United States Army Air Corp serving his country faithfully stationed in England. After his military service he began working for LTV as an electronic engineer for 33 years, retiring in 1983. David was an avid woodworker-stained glass ornaments and lights, he also enjoyed traveling.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Banner; and wife Dorothy Robertson.

David is survived by his children, Carol Lorraine Robertson, David Randall Robertson and wife Lisa, Stephen Russell Robertson and wife Elizabeth, and Gregory Ross Robertson and fiancé Yvonne Hoffman; 4 grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Lyndsay and Ethan; 9 great grandchildren; and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
