This world lost a radiant light on June 20, 2026. Delores Faye Gray (Gillenwater) gently shed her earthly bounds and now ascends, soaring among the heavens as one of the brightest stars.
Delores made her home in Odessa, Texas, and in later years in Whitney, Texas, where she wove a life rich in love, deep-rooted family, and cherished memories. Her faith and kindness were the cornerstones of her life, earning her the heavenly blessing, “Well done thou good and faithful servant., enter now into the joy of tho lord”
She was reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Dave Gray; seven brothers; and five sisters who went before her.
She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Patty, her son, Michael (Matthew) of Lincoln, Nebraska; and her daughter, Cindy Lowe (Paul) of Joshua, Texas. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Taylor Lowe (Tori) of Ada, Oklahoma, and Kyle Lowe (Miranda) of Durant, Oklahoma, along with many other dear great‑grandchildren whose lives were brightened by her warmth and love.
Delores will be remembered as a gentle soul with an enduring strength, a heart abundant in compassion, and a faith that never wavered. Her love was a quiet light that comforted and guided those around her, leaving a legacy that will continue to shine across generations.
She will be cremated, and her remains will be laid to rest at a later date in Odessa, Texas, where she will be reunited beside her beloved Dave—her strength, her companion, and her steadfast heart for so many years.
“There shall be in that rich earth a richer dust concealed.”
