Donald B. Moses, 81, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Donald was born August 1, 1927 in Hillsboro, Texas the son of Delmer Bond and Ava Hall Moses. He lived in Hillsboro all his life, except when he was serving his country in the U. S. Army during WWII. He also served in the Texas National Guard in Hillsboro. On July 30, 1948 he married Katherine Jordan and she preceded him in death on March 30, 1990. For over 40 years, he worked as a carpenter and building contractor. He built the Christmas Stars that were displayed down Waco Street and the Courthouse Square for many years. He later went to work at the Hill County Sheriff's Office and was also a reserve Hillsboro Police Officer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro and American Legion Post #4. Also preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Charles Moses. Survivors include two sons, Gary Moses and wife, Donna, of Dawson and Dale Moses of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Stephanie Moses, Susan Moses, Sunny Herring and husband, Doug, and Jon Moses and wife, Rebecca; fifteen great-grandchildren, Donna Jo, Sara, Carlye, Jaycee, Don Lynn, Joseph, Allyson, Kolbie, Katherine Katie, Greg, Blake, Nathan, Jon, Austin, and Emma.
