Douglas Mack James

Douglas Mack James, 84 of Killeen Texas passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Seton Medical Center, Harker Heights, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 5, with a Memorial service to follow at 11:00 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. 

Douglas was born May 30, 1942, in Woodbury to Clisto and Lottie James. He grew up and graduated from Hillsboro High School. He married Brenda Charlene Williams in 1963.

Douglas was a loving husband, daddy, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend to many. Douglas worked many years as a lineman at Texas Power and Light Company. When he retired, he enjoyed spending time with his daughter Angela, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister Betty Hight and his brother Harold James and his wife Brenda James of 59 years.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela Hosman and her husband Eric Hosman of Killeen; his grandson, Mark Douglas Edwards and his wife Karli of Killeen; his granddaughter, Amanda McFarland and her husband Robert of Iowa; and his great-grandkids, Jackson, Madison, River, Olivia, Colton, Rory, and Wyatt.
