Edna Stanford

Edna E. Marshall Stanford was born December 19, 1912 in Itasca, Texas to William Perry and Autie Lela Fleece Marshall. She married G. W. "Runt" Stanford on October 3, 1944 in Corsicana, Texas and they moved to Whitney in 1955 where she and her husband operated Buckhorn Bait and Tackle for many years. She was a member of King Memorial United Methodist Church in Whitney and a member of the VFW Post 8571 Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Marshall and two infant sons. Survivors include her husband, G. W. "Runt" Stanford; children, Billy Kirkpatrick and wife, Betty of Peoria; James "Lefty" Stanford and wife, Georgetta of Henrietta; grandchildren, Laura Reed and husband, Jim, Loretta Plumlee and husband, Hunter, Lorraine Kirkpatrick, Emily Bates and husband, Tim, Casey Stanford; great grandchildren, Heather and Brady Reed.
