Frances Kaddatz

Frances "Nannie" Anna Maass Kaddatz, 98, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on January 12, 2026. Born on February 24, 1927, in Malone, Texas. Frances lived a life filled with love, laughter, resilience, and deep faith. A devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother, Frances's heart belonged to the love of her life the late Weldon "Sonny" Kaddatz and her daughters Donna Rice (and her late husband Mark) and Jan Russell (and her husband David), and her cherished grandchildren Jaime Doyle (husband Dusty), Marci Williams (husband Preston), Jacy Holt (husband Justin), Mandi Ressman (husband Toby) and her many nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy came from her great grandchildren whom she loved more than anything- Meredith Williams, Lucy Doyle, Mark Williams, Molly Doyle, Jacob Schmoker, Madison Williams, Tristin Holt and Kyla Holt. Her family was her biggest blessing, and she carried them in prayer and in pride every day of her life.

She was a proud Christian, grounded in her faith and strengthened by it. Frances found happiness in life's simple pleasures: the sound of her great grands laughing, the joy of a blooming garden, and visits with her family and friends. Her faith was not only practiced-it was lived. May her kindness be remembered and her love passed forward through her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate a woman who lived fully, loved deeply, and walked faithfully at a viewing and visitation from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro and funeral service taking place at 2 pm, Thursday, January 15, 2026, at First Methodist Church of Hillsboro. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Dusty Doyle, Justin Holt, Tristin Holt, Toby Ressman, Jacob Schmoker, Preston Williams and Mark Williams.
