Frances Oliphant

Frances Louise (Forrest) Oliphant entered the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at a hospital in Richardson, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2025, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Texas. Graveside funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Garden of Memory Cemetery in Hillsboro, Texas.

Frances was born on January 18, 1937, in Abbott, Texas, to Nathan and Ruby Forrest. She grew up on a farm in Abbott and later married, relocating to Dallas, Texas.

For nearly 30 years, Frances worked in commercial insurance, spending most of that time with Corrigan-Jordan. After retiring, she dedicated many years to volunteering with the City of Garland Police Department, where she formed lifelong friendships and continued serving her community.

Frances enjoyed traveling, playing the piano, and sewing. She loved attending church on Sundays and cherished every moment spent with her family-especially her grandchildren, whom she loved to take out to eat and spoil with affection.

A devoted animal lover, Frances adored her beloved Shih Tzus, Kiki and Little Bit. Known by everyone as one of the sweetest and kindest women, she lived her life grounded in faith, compassion, and love for others.

Frances is now at peace, reunited with her parents, Nathan and Ruby Forrest; her son, Larry Miller; and her husband, John Oliphant.

She is survived by her grandchildren Nathan Miller, Jason Miller, Ashley Miller, Lance Miller, and Michelle Miller; twelve great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
