Franky Tovar, a beloved son, brother, fiancé, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on October 27, 2026, leaving behind a world that is a little less bright without him.
Born in Dallas, Texas, Franky made his home in Whitney, Texas, where he continued to share his laughter, love, and one-of-a-kind personality with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Franky was the kind of person you didn't forget. He had a smile that could light up a room and bear hugs that made you feel safe, loved, and welcomed. He had a gift for making people laugh, and his sense of humor could turn an ordinary moment into a memory you would carry with you forever. Whether he was cracking a joke, teasing someone he loved, or simply being his wonderfully unforgettable self, Franky had a way of bringing joy wherever he went.
Franky leaves behind his loving fiancé, Tesla Lancaster; his mother, Llalanda, and her husband, Jerry Bubert; his father, John Nuckols, and his wife, Melissa Nuckols; his sister, Jackie Lopez, and her husband, Miguel Lopez; his brother, Rigoberto Tovar; and his beloved niece, Abbigayle Tovar. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and a mountain of friends whose lives were made better simply because Franky was part of them.
Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in the memories he gave us and the love he leaves behind. We will remember the laughter that filled the room when he was around, the warmth of his bear hugs, the sparkle behind his smile, and the way he made people feel like they mattered.
Franky's life reminds us that you don't have to be famous or extraordinary in the eyes of the world to make an extraordinary difference. Sometimes, all it takes is a big heart, a great sense of humor, open arms, and the ability to make everyone feel like a friend.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday October 31, 2026 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney, with Rev. Kenneth Coleman officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am to Noon.
