Fred Finstad

Fred Finstad, age 91 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2022.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the Abiding Life Church in Whitney with Pastor Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Church Cemetery in Cranfills Gap. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors chapel in Whitney.

Fred was born July 5, 1930, in Cranfills Gap to Jason and Emma Finstad. He worked as a Machinist most of his life. Fred moved to Fort Worth, Texas and lived there for 37 years and later moved to Whitney, Texas in 1976. He was a member of the Abiding Life Church. Fred was united in marriage to Thelma the love of his life on October 28, 1949.

Survivors left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Thelma; son, Michael Finstad; grandson, Chad Finstad; brother, Wilson Finstad; great grandson, Austin Finstad; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
