Gary Douglas Murphy

Gary Douglas "Doug" Murphy passed away on November 3, 2026 at the age of 79.

Doug proudly served in the United States Army and spent much of his life as a welder by trade. A hardworking man with remarkable skills, he also worked in construction, repaired small engines, and could fix just about anything that needed fixing. If something was broken, Doug could usually find a way to make it work again.

Doug loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an exceptional cook who found joy in sharing meals with others. Friends and family looked forward to his barbecues, fish fries, homemade pies, and candy. He also took great pride in growing a beautiful garden and generously shared the fruits of his labor with everyone around him.

Doug never met a stranger. Known for his easy smile, quick laugh, and generous heart, he enjoyed visiting with friends, helping others, and spending time with his faithful dogs. Whether sharing a meal, offering a helping hand, or simply enjoying good company, Doug made a lasting impression on those around him.

Doug will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, willingness to help others, and the kindness he shared through friendship, food, and fellowship. His memory will live on in the many lives he touched.
