Gayla was the daughter of John W. and Billie Jo Mitchell Pauling, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John W. Pauling, III. Survivors include: two sisters, Jean Pauling Kenney, and Debbie Glover; one uncle, Joe Parum; five cousins, Sandra McCown, Paula Shumpert, Carolyn Fleet, Pam Marks, and John Parum; two nephews, Kane Kenney and Griffin Kenney Memorials may be made to: UT Southwestern Medical Center - Zale Lipshy Hospital 5151 Harry Hines Blvd. Dallas, Texas 75390
