Gerald Caine

Gerald Wayne Caine, age 71, of Milford, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at home. Graveside services will take place at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory Cemetery in Hillsboro. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

He was born February 19, 1954, to Roy Zeral and Mary Kathryn (Gladden) Caine, in Dermott, Arkansas.

From early in his life, he was taught construction by family members. He went on to become a project superintendent for many years until his health forced his retirement. Gerald was known for building anything he desired or by request from many without blueprints or design. He had a passion for raising vegetable gardens and was known for his outstanding gardens. Gerald also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, his tractor and cooking delicious meals on his outdoor cast iron stove. He served in the United States Army and later in the National Guard. He will be missed by many.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Kathryn; two brothers; and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Kristi Caine; his sons, Gerald Caine II and his wife, Rebecca, Chris Williams and his wife, La Dell, and Joshua Isaacks and his wife, Jennifer; his daughters, Tonya Palmer and her husband, Thomas, and LuAnne McMickle and her husband, Mitch; seventeen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brother, Mike Caine; and several nieces and nephews.
