Gilberto was born September 8, 1985 in Mexico City, Mexico to Enrique and Maria Reyes Valencia. Moving to Hillsboro in 1999, he was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Survivors include his parents, Enrique and Maria Valencia; a brother, David Valencia; and a sister, Elsa Valencia.
