Glynda Beth Triplett, born on February 6, 1943, in Whitney, Texas, to Charles and Anna Ruth (Frank) Marsh, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025. Her presence enriched the lives of many, and she will be lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A proud graduate of Whitney High School, Beth continued her education at Southwestern Texas State College, Navarro College, and Sam Houston College. Her commitment to learning mirrored her dedication to her family and community. On January 5, 1963, she married the love of her life, Weldon Preston Triplett, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Together, they built a life filled with love and memories after moving to Tyler, Texas, in 1963 when Preston began his career with Brookshires Grocery Co. Eventually, in 2021, Beth returned to Whitney to be closer to her beloved family.
Beth had a profound appreciation for the beauty of nature, delighting in nurturing her flowers and watching birds. Yet, it was her family that brought her the greatest joy. She cherished every moment spent with her daughters, granddaughters, and grandson, creating a legacy of love that will carry on through them.
Beth is survived by her devoted daughters, Angela Powers and husband Jake of Whitney, and Lisa Silas and husband Tony of Whitney. Her grandchildren, including granddaughters Mary Beth Powers, Allison Powers, Anna Silas, and grandson Kirk Silas, will forever hold her memories dear. She is also survived by her brother Garry Marsh and wife Diane of Whitney, her sister-in-law Hannah Elizabeth Drake of Houston, as well as several nieces and nephews: Robyn Rutledge of Whitney, Daneil Reed of Houston, Greg Marsh of Midlothian, Chad Reed of Houston, and Manning Reed of Ingram.
Beth's life was a tapestry woven with love, wisdom, and kindness. Her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Weldon Preston Triplett, and her parents, Charles and Anna Ruth Marsh.
A visitation will be held on May 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors, located at 201 N Bosque St, Whitney, TX 76692. Her burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.
Beth’s life was one of grace, perseverance, and devotion. She will be deeply missed, yet her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
