Herman "HANK" Glenn Langford

Herman Glenn Langford, known to many simply as HANK, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, with his beloved dog Sissy and his devoted daughter Laura Langford by his side. He was born on April 27, 1947 in Greenville, Tx and lived a life anchored in faith, service, and a deep love for the water.

The day before Hank went to be with Jesus, he was blessed to spend time surrounded by the laughter, stories, and love of his closest friends—Jeff, CJ, Daniel, Donna, and Marty. That final gathering reflected exactly how Hank lived: connected, grateful, and deeply loved.

Hank was an avid fisherman and a cherished friend to many. For more than 30 years, he served as a respected fishing guide on Toledo Bend Reservoir and Lake Whitney, where he shared not only his remarkable knowledge of the lakes, but also his patience, humor, and steady presence. To fish with Hank was to gain a story, a lesson, and often a lifelong friend.

Those who knew him best understood that his life was guided by simple, enduring principles. In one of his journals, Hank wrote his top five things to do in life:

1. Go to church

2. Help your neighbors

3. Give to food banks and clothes to the needy

4. Forgive others

5. Pray for everyone, including yourself

These words were not merely written—they were lived. Hank embodied quiet generosity, forgiveness, and unwavering faith. He believed in showing up for people, offering a helping hand, and trusting God through every season.

Hank is survived by his daughter, Laura Langford;his granddaughter, Faith Makenzie Rowe; and his great-grandson, Lincoln Elias Gann. He was deeply proud of his family and found great joy in each generation that followed him.

Herman “Hank” Langford leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, friendship, and a life well spent casting lines and lifting others up. He will be remembered on every calm lake morning, every shared prayer, and every act of quiet goodness done in his name.

Fair winds and following seas, Hank. Your line is tight, and your faith has brought you home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
