Jackie Suomi

Jackie E. Suomi, 65, of Whitney, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at her home. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Jackie was born on February 5, 1950, in Hillsboro, Texas, to Monro and Mary (Parsons) Meeks. On May 4, 1987, she married Charlie Suomi, in Monroe, Louisiana. She loved her family and serving others as a church secretary and as director of the Senior Circle at Hill Regional Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, April and a grandchild, Brandon.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie of Whitney; children - Ricky O’Briant of Mangham, Louisiana, Lori Hasty and husband Randy, of Whitney, Charlie Suomi and wife, Nellie of Sound Beach, New York, Kim Allen of Whitney and Matt Suomi and wife, Priska of Offenbach, Germany; grandchildren - Jordan Lee O’Briant, Jamee Leigh O’Briant, Hannah Lynn Hampton, Christian Blair Hampton , Bryce Allen Hasty, Victoria Danyelle Sepulveda, Catherine Alicia Suomi, Sienna Dianne Suomi, Kiera Leeann James, Brian Kenneth James, Jr., Michael Taylor Adcock, Tushona Marie Suomi, Elise Suomi, Charles Brandon Suomi, Isaiah Charles Suomi, Cheyenne Brewster, Rayshawn Brewster, Christopher Derek Allen, Dacey Marie Allen, Hagen Alysse Bigelow, Mason Lee Andrew Pelham; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister Marquita Ray and husband, Greg of Hillsboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 2824 Swiss Ave., Dallas, Texas 75204-5965.
