James Albert "Jimmy" Evans

James Albert "Jimmy" Evans passed away Monday, October 5, 2026, in Whitney, Texas.

He was born October 25, 1949, to Marvin Wood Evans, Sr. and Elizabeth (Reno) Evans, in Sinton, Texas. Jimmy married the love of his life, Nancy Evans, on October 16, 1993, and is now reunited with Nancy and his parents and brother. He is having a long-awaited reunion with his loved ones.

Jimmy did not have children of his own but loved Bubba and Terry as if they were his. He loved all animals but had a soft spot for puppies and dogs. Jimmy loved fishing, watching the calves play in the pasture and there was not a puzzle he could not put together. He had a passion for old cars and trucks. Anytime someone pointed out an older car, he always knew the make, model and year. Jimmy was not a social person, but he was always on the phone with Nancy's sisters, friends or family. He was always in the middle of good gossip.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Evans; his parents, Marvin, Sr. and Elizabeth; his son, Terry Curry; his brother, Marvin Woods Evans, Jr.; and his brother-in-law, Charles R. Glasgow. Jimmy is survived by his son, Roy Mosher and wife, Anna; his grandchildren, Klay Mosher and wife, Lyndsey, Dovie Mosher and boyfriend, Jaxson, Dakota Jordan and husband, Caleb, Jordan Baldwin and husband, Lucas; and great-grandchildren, Charlie, Pasislee, Carson, Raylan, Elizabeth, Brecklyn, Watson, Kash, Ranger, Blakely, Mallory and Gracie.
