James Melson

James Parker Melson, 28, of Itasca, Texas, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Central Baptist Church in Itasca. Burial will follow at Itasca Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2026, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

James Parker Melson was born on April 1, 1997, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Gary and Debbie Melson.

James was deeply loved, and his absence leaves a space that can never be filled. Though his life was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

James is survived by his parents, Gary and Debbie Melson of Osceola, Texas, who loved him beyond measure; his brothers, Gary Don Melson and his wife Tracy of Alvarado, and Tony Richardson of Paris, Texas; his nieces, Elisa and Lauren; and his nephews, Gavin and Gary Jr. He is also survived by many family members and friends who loved him greatly and will carry his memory with them always.

James will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the love he gave and the way he mattered to the people who knew him. He will be forever missed and always remembered.
