Jamie Lynn Walker

Jamie Lynn Walker Kelley, 30, went to her heavenly home on the morning of November 20, 2025. She was born in Waco, Texas, on January 17, 1995. She lived on her families land all of her life in Whitney, TX.

Jamie’s life was a radiant reflection of love, faith, and joy. She adored horses, children, and people in general, and everyone who knew her loved her in return. A gifted musician, Jamie found great joy in singing and playing the piano. For 15 years she taught piano and voice lessons, pouring her heart into her students, who she cherished deeply. She also shared her passion for horses by teaching horseback riding lessons.

A free spirit, Jamie loved the outdoors, she loved dancing and playing in the rain with her children, and the beauty of life in all its forms. She had a tender heart for animals, rescuing strays—dogs, cats, and horses—many of whom became part of her family. Above all, Jamie loved Jesus, and her faith was the guiding light of her life.

Jamie leaves behind her beloved husband, Arthur Kelley; her two precious children, Walker and Adela; her parents, Russell and Michele Walker; her in-laws, Greg and Adela Mason; her Aunt Tina McDonald; her Uncle Michael McDonald and his wife Elizabeth; her Uncle Stephen Walker and his wife Leesa; her mimi Lorene Walker; and her grandpa Edwin Cody. Her nephew Brayden Montes and two nieces Dallas and Trinity Mata. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close.

She is preceded in death by her pawpaw Maurice Walker, her oma Hedy Cody, and her gampy Bill McDonald.

A celebration of Jamie’s life will be held on December 13th at 4 p.m. at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney, Texas. In lieu of plants and flowers, the family requests donations toward medical bills and the purchase of an oak tree, where Jamie wished her cremains to be laid to rest. Donations can be made payable to her mom, Michele Walker at First State Security Bank (FSSB) Whitney, TX, Jamie Walker Kelley memorial fund.
