Jean Mardel Botten

Jean M Botten age 90, of Whitney went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at a local nursing home.  The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

Jean was born on October 9, 1929, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Theodore and Gladys (Stokke) Smedsurd.   In December of 1949, she married Ardell Botten in Las Vegas, Nevada and they were married for 69 years.   During their marriage, she worked as a bank teller.   A loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family, Jean also loved life and never argued about anything.

Survivors include her husband, Ardell Botten of Whitney; children, Ronald Botten and Diane Holley, both of Whitney; grandchildren, Scott Botten, David Perry. Chris Perry, and Becky Heinlin; a sister Arlette Matthews of Indio, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
