Jeffery Douglas

Jeffery "Shane" Douglas, 55, passed away on September 21, 2025, in Milford, Texas. Born on June 20, 1970, in Corsicana, Texas, Shane lived a life marked by devotion to family, an unwavering work ethic, and a heart full of generosity.

Shane grew up in Corsicana and carried the values of his upbringing with him throughout his life. As a young man, he worked at his grandfather Ernest Douglas's Dairy Mart-a place that not only shaped his early work ethic but also deepened the bond with his beloved grandfather, whom he often spoke of with great affection. That relationship remained one of the most cherished parts of Shane's life.

Over the years, Shane wore many hats professionally. He spent time driving a car hauler before finding his calling as an IT technician in the oil field industry. His technical skills were matched only by his patience and willingness to help others-traits that made him both respected and admired by those who worked alongside him.

Family was at the center of everything Shane did. He shared two decades of love and companionship with his best friend and partner Heather Dusenbery. Together they built a home filled with warmth and laughter. Shane was a devoted father who raised Hailey Doretybery, Cole Dusenbery, and Christopher Nieves with care and pride. He was also the father of Devon Robinson, Dalton Robinson, Dylan Wolver, and Brittany Pendergrass. His love extended deeply to his grandchildren, Elijah, Hope and Sawyer; watching them grow brought him immense joy. There are so many who were close to him and loved him.

Shane is also survived by his mother, Lola Douglas, whose presence remained a constant source of strength in his life.

He was preceded in death by two people who held special places in his heart: his grandfather Ernest Douglas and his best friend John Bess.

Those who knew Shane will remember him as an amazing father and dependable friend-someone always willing to lend a hand or offer support without hesitation. He had a natural wit that made him easy to talk to and a wisdom that made others seek out his guidance. Whether it was fixing something around the house or solving complex computer issues, Shane could do just about anything.

His passions reflected the depth of his character. He loved spending time with family above all else. Gaming and working with computers brought him joy and challenge alike. A loyal football fan, he rarely missed a game. And then there was Romeo-his beloved dog-who was never far from his side.

Shane's legacy is one of love, laughter, resilience, and unwavering support for those around him. He lived fully and gave freely-of time, energy, knowledge, and heart.

A memorial service celebrating Shane's life will be held on October 4, 2025, at Milford First Baptist Church in Milford, Texas at 11:00 am.

May Jeffery Shane Douglas's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to inspire kindness and strength in those he leaves behind.
