Jimmie D. Findley, Sr., 73, of Whitney died, Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at Emery J. Lilge Community Hospice in Fort Worth. Jimmie was born October 7, 1932 in the Woodbury Community of Hill County, Texas the son of Riley and Zena Denton Findley. He loved truck driving, camping, fishing, country/western and gospel music, and visiting with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On February 14, 2001 he married Linda Durant in Rio Vista. Jimmie was a member of Fort Graham Baptist Church in Whitney. Preceding him in death were his father and mother, Riley Findley and Zena Eubank; his first wife, Modina Findley; and a grandson, Jeremy Whitehead. Survivors include his wife, Linda Findley of Whitney; children, Lydia Shirley and husband, Robert, Jimmie Findley, Jr. and wife, Tammy, and Jackie Findley and wife, Tracy, all of Rio Vista; two step-children, Robert Jordan and wife, Melissa of Frisco, and James Jordan and wife, Christi, of West; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Guidry and husband, Louis, of Cleburne, and Stephen Chance and wife, Crystal, B. J. Findley, Misty Frazier and husband, Mike, Scotty Findley and wife, Ashley, Chris Findley, and Amanda Findley all of Rio Vista; and seven great-grandchildren, Christina Roye, Courtney Roye, and Dustin Roye all of Cleburne, and Hunter Frazier, Mason Findley, Jeremy Chance, and Shooter Findley all of Rio Vista.
