Joe Curlee

Joe was born July 9, 1926 in Rockwall County, Texas to William Carson Curlee and Lula Idella Curlee. He married Jocille Cooper on February 21, 1958 and she preceded him on October 16, 1997. He was also married to Imogene Walles on February 19, 1949 and was married for eight years. Joe served in the U.S. Army in WW II and obtained the rank of Sargent. He served in the Phillipines. He was a Life Member of VFW Post 8571 and served as an assistant Scout Master for several years. Joe was also a Charter Member of the Friendship Baptist Church. Joe and Jocille had three children, Larry Wayne, Sara Kae and Nancy all of Whitney, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Helen Lynn of Hillsbro and Elaine Curlee of Arlington.
