John Russell, Jr

John V. Russell, Jr., 65, of Whitney, passed away on August 11, 2015. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at 10:00 AM., at Waco Memorial Park in Waco.

John was born on December 29, 1949, in Waco, Texas, to John V. and Juanita (Edwards) Russell. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.

Preceding him in death were his father, John Russell, Sr., and his wife, Carol Anne Russell.

Survivors include his mother, Juanita Edwards Russell of Arlington; daughter, Leslie (Curtis) Dowdle of Mineola; grandchildren, Chace and Audrey of Mineola; a sister, Peggy Johnston of Arlington and a brother, Charles Russell of Spring.
