Johnny Neal

Johnny Neal, 75, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, near Hillsboro. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Born March 26, 1939 in Hill County, Texas, he was the son of J. K. And Eura Mae (Johnson) Neal. As a young man, he served his country in the United States Army. He lived in Hill County most of his life and worked as a carpet installer for a number of years in commercial installation. Johnny also worked for American Foods in Dallas for many years. An avid gardener, he always had a huge garden and also raised Barbado goats. He was of the Church of Christ faith. Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, James Luther Neal, Ray Kidwell Neal, and Jessie Lavern Neal.

Survivors include his step-son, Steve Edwards of Conroe; brother, David Harold Neal, Sr. of Hillsboro; two sisters, Geneva Neal Duran and Clara Jo Ashby, both of Fort Worth; uncle, Bill Johnson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
