Joseph Alexander Robinson

Joseph Alexander Robinson, lovingly known as Joey, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, at the age of 28, at his home in Blum, Texas, surrounded by his devoted family. Born on August 31, 1997, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was the cherished son of Jean Robinson and Frank Robinson.

A proud graduate of Blum High School, Joey quickly became known as a true jack of all trades. He had an extraordinary ability to learn, master, and perfect anything he set his mind to. If he didn’t already know how to do something, he worked tirelessly until he figured it out—never giving up, always pushing forward.

In 2019, Joey met the love of his life, Velvet Woods, and together they built a life grounded in unwavering support, deep affection, and mutual respect. As a husband, he was Velvet’s constant source of strength, her loving partner, and her greatest confidant. Their bond was one of true soulmates and best friends.

To his children—William Woods, Ellie Holbert, and Alexander Robinson—Joey was far more than a father. He was a hero, mentor, train buddy, best friend, and the ultimate role model. He took immense pride in his family and treasured every moment spent making memories with his children. Whether they were watching trains, building train sets, or simply enjoying time together, Joey made every day meaningful.

Joey will be remembered for his warm heart, wisdom, infectious sense of humor, and selfless generosity. His passion for trains was unmatched; everywhere he went, something train‑related followed. Anyone who mentioned trains could expect a long, enthusiastic conversation filled with joy and knowledge. He was also a dedicated martial artist who earned his black belt in Unified Taekwondo—a testament to his discipline, perseverance, and strength, qualities he carried into every part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Robinson, and his son, Alexander Robinson.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of seven years, Velvet Woods; his children, William Woods and Ellie Holbert; his father, Frank Robinson; his sister, Christy (Brad) Nolan; his brother, Micheal Satterwhite; his sisters, Jessica Harvey and Kat Moore; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

A memorial service will be held at the Blum Community Center, 105 Avenue C, Blum, Texas 76627, at 1:00 p.m. on June 14, 2026.
